The global pandemic has certainly taught all of us resilience and flexibility. Children had to wear masks, shift between virtual and in-person learning, negotiate friendships from a distance, and navigate a new world of rules and restrictions. They also processed complex feelings about an uncertain and unpredictable future. In the Occupational Therapy department, we have been very proud of our students for their adaptability and good cheer.

Since the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year, Parkside administrators and staff have been engaged in the process of deepening our understanding of justice, equity, and diversity and seeking to improve our racial literacy. Last night more than 80 member of our community - parents, alumni, staff and friends - gathered on Zoom for a delectable culinary experience with Chef David Waltuck, Chef Anita Lo, Chef Bao Bao and Chef Wilson Costa.
The evening, which was augmented by a silent online auction, raffle, and virtual giving tree that will remain open through Friday, March 26th at 10:00pm, was focused on raising money for Parkside’s beloved art and movement programs.

Last night, Parkside once again made history. Shelly Watson entertained us on Zoom, in a "Virtual Toast" to our school with more than 50 members of our Parkside family participating. Through the good times and the challenging ones -- it is our teachers, students and parents who inspire and invigorate us.
