Resilience and Flexibility in OT

The global pandemic has certainly taught all of us resilience and flexibility. Children had to wear masks, shift between virtual and in-person learning, negotiate friendships from a distance, and navigate a new world of rules and restrictions. They also processed complex feelings about an uncertain and unpredictable future. In the Occupational Therapy department, we have been very proud of our students for their adaptability and good cheer.

Improving Our Racial Literacy

Bon Appétit, Parkside!

Last night more than 80 member of our community - parents, alumni, staff and friends - gathered on Zoom for a delectable culinary experience with Chef David Waltuck, Chef Anita Lo, Chef Bao Bao and Chef Wilson Costa.

The evening, which was augmented by a silent online auction, raffle, and virtual giving tree that will remain open through Friday, March 26th at 10:00pm, was focused on raising money for Parkside’s beloved art and movement programs.

One Child At A Time

The all too familiar feeling of tragic despair, in the face of repeated examples of the injustice, bigotry, and racism faced by people of color reflected in disproportionate poverty, mortality rates, overrepresentation in the criminal justice system, and systematic societal oppression lie heavy in our hearts and minds.
